Who is the beginner course suitable for?

For anyone over 15 who wants to learn the basics of paragliding and fly independently under the supervision of an instructor.

Persons under 18 need the written consent of their parents.

How are the courses run?

Courses are run in small groups: on various training slopes and with an individual approach we introduce you to paragliding equipment and the different flying techniques.

The course programme is adapted to each individual, so you do not have to adapt to the group.

Courses run 3 times a week, in winter only at weekends. Attendance is not compulsory every time.

What does it include?

  • Getting to know the equipment
  • Preparing the equipment and the glider
  • Inflating and controlling the glider on the ground
  • Take-off and landing
  • Take-off in demanding conditions
  • Different ways of turning
  • Reverse launch
  • Landing approach
  • Aborted take-off technique
  • Recovering a collapsed glider
  • Packing the glider
  • At least 50 flights from up to 100 metres
  • Up to 3 high flights

What do I need?

You only need suitable hiking footwear; we take care of everything else.

How long does the beginner course take?

The beginner course lasts 6 to 10 days, 4 hours a day. The duration depends on how quickly the individual acquires the knowledge and skills, and on the time the participant has available. As a rule the course lasts until every student has mastered all the necessary techniques and exercises.

The price does not change with the length of the course: the basic aim of our training is your knowledge and safety.

Attendance is not compulsory every time.

When do courses start?

In suitable weather conditions we start a course every Saturday.

On which days are courses held?

Courses are held at weekends at 9:00 and on weekdays at 17:00.

You will be informed of the course dates at least one day before the planned session, by SMS.

Where are courses held?

The course location is chosen according to the current weather conditions.

We run them on various sites across Slovenia: Vremščica, Logatec and Prebold.

Provider and authorisations
