XC course

The three-day XC course costs 450 €.

Accommodation, food and transport to take-off are not included.

Licensed pilots who want to fly further — a course in longer cross-country flights (50 km and more). You need a wing of at least EN-B safety class.

Theory

• the head on a long flight: decision-making far from your home landing
• weather for cross-country: when a day is promising and when to stay on the ground
• how to set up a route and fly it step by step
• the regulations that apply away from your home site

Practice

• every day you plan and fly your own cross-country route
• flying in varied conditions, not only ideal ones
• finding thermals and using the general wind
• moving from alpine to flatland terrain and back
• landing in a field you are seeing for the first time
• going through every flight together afterwards

Three days; dates are set by arrangement according to the forecast.

From Golte, Lijak, Lisca, Krvavec or the Soča valley, by arrangement also across the border; we decide according to the weather and the planned route.
