Transport
Participants arrange shared transport to the flying site among themselves. Each participant decides for themselves whether their name, town and chosen contact (phone or e-mail) are shown to the other participants of the same course date — this is set with a separate consent at registration or in the profile settings. Without consent the details are not visible; declining does not affect your registration.
Who is the advanced course suitable for?
For everyone who has completed the beginner course and would like to become an independent paragliding pilot.
How are the courses run?
Courses are run in small groups: on various training slopes and with an individual approach we introduce you to paragliding equipment and the different flying techniques.
The course programme is adapted to each individual, so you do not have to adapt to the group.
Courses run 3 times a week, in winter only at weekends. Attendance is not compulsory every time.
What will you learn?
On the advanced course you learn all the skills needed for safe and independent paragliding.
What do I need?
A completed beginner paragliding course.
For the first 10 flights we provide all the equipment; you only need suitable footwear and gloves.
For the rest of the course you need your own equipment, or you can rent the full set from us. Rental costs 30 € per day.
You can read more about equipment prices in the iFly online shop.
How long does the advanced course take?
In favourable weather conditions we hold courses 3 times a week. Because attendance is not compulsory every time, the length of the course depends on your free time.
The advanced course comprises at least 50 high flights; we make up to 3 flights per course day.
When do courses start?
In suitable weather conditions we start the course as soon as you have completed the beginner course.
On which days are courses held?
Courses are held on Saturday afternoons after 14:00 and on weekdays after 17:00.
In winter, because of the shorter days, courses are held only at weekends.
You will be informed of the course dates at least one day before the planned session, by SMS.
Where are courses held?
The course location is chosen according to the current weather conditions and the type of course.
We run them on various sites across Slovenia: Vremščica, Slivnica, Ambrož pod Krvavcem, Sv. Primož, …
